Oh yeah, there’s a sequel to Neighbors on the way and since in the first one they had to deal with a fraternity house, now a sorority is causing even more trouble. I mean what the hell else can you even do with this concept?
Since the Radners are about to welcome a new member to the family, they need a bigger home which means selling the old one first. The problem is they now have a crazy sorority house next to them, so nobody is going to want to buy their house. When all else fails Mac and Kelly’s only hope is a former neighbor who can relate to stupid young people.
Neighbors made a lot of money in 2014, $270.6 million worldwide to be more exact on an $18 million budget, so of course Universal didn’t blink twice when it came to making another one. It might be too early to pass judgment, whether this is a good or a bad idea, but what’s in this trailer doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence.
Nicholas Stoller is back directing and him and Seth Rogen co-wrote the film. Starring in Neighbors: Sorority Rising are Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, Zac Efron, Chloe Grace Moretz, Dave Franco and Selena Gomez. The comedy opens May 6th in the UK and May 20th in the US.
