The Official Trailer for Beauty and the Beast Is Here And We Love it

Don’t expect to see a whole lot here as this is nothing more than a very short tease for next year’s live-action Beauty and the Beast from Disney.

I’ll skip the synopsis as you already know the story here, so let’s jump straight to what’s in the teaser. The castle, very impressive set design, we see it changing before our eyes, inside and outside. Then Belle shows up at the door and we hear Lumiere and Cogsworth talk about her, which by the way, sound perfect voiced by Ewan McGregor and Sir Ian McKellen. Finally right at the end we see Belle looking at the rose and that’s it, teaser over. Even so I still got chills, the music, the tone, the look, it was kind of perfect. Disney might have another huge hit on their hands with Beauty and the Beast. If it’s as good as it looks, this could be The Jungle Book all over again.

Bill Condon directed the movie with a screenplay by Evan Spiliotopoulos and Stephen Chbosky, based on the 1991 animation written by Linda Woolverton, which in turn was based on the French fairy tale of the same name by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont. Starring in the movie are Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Josh Gad as Le Fou, and Stanley Tucci as Cadenza.

You’re invited to Beauty and the Beast starting March 17th 2017 in the US and around the world.
