Some might not know this but as far as animated series go, Ice Age ranks 2nd only to Shrek worldwide at the box office with over $2.8 billion from a total of four installments released so far. Shrek is at little over $3.5 billion from five movies, so what I’m trying to say is come the end of the summer, there might be a new king. Collision Course only needs about $700 million to overtake Shrek, which should be a formality for this series given the fact that the last one made more than that internationally in 2012 (since then some of the animation’s best markets have grown considerably). So of course this won’t be the end for Ice Age, not when Fox keep making so much money.
Mike Thurmeier and Galen T. Chu directed Ice Age: Collision Course while Michael J. Wilson wrote it. Voicing characters in the animation are Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez, Simon Pegg, Neil deGrasse Tyson and many others.
Ice Age: Collision Course opens June 30th in Germany, July 15th in the UK and July 22nd in the US
