Scarlett Johansson has beaten Emma Stone and has been announced as the highest-paid actress of 2018 by Forbes magazine.
Before tax, Johansson banked an estimated $40.5 million between June 1st 2017 and June 1st 2018, quadrupling her financial haul from the same period last year. Johansson has appeared in three films in the past year – “Rough Night,” “Isle of Dogs” and “Avengers: Infinity War”.
Angelina Jolie came in second with $28 million, almost all of that coming from an upfront payment for Disney’s “Maleficent” sequel. Jennifer Aniston was in third with $19.5 million from “Friends” and film residuals and endorsement deals. Jennifer Lawrence and Reese Witherspoon round out the top five, while non-Americans Cate Blanchett and Gal Gadot also made the list.
