Nse Ikpe Etim is a popular Nigerian actress of an European ancestry. Born on the 21st of October 1974 in Akwa-Ibom state, she is the first of six children. She attended Awa Nursery School Kaduna for her elementary education. Along the line, she had to change to Command Children’s school, Jos. As a result of her father’s work transfer to Jos.
Her Father worked as a staff of The Central Bank of Nigeria and had to be transferred from time to time. This led to Nse changing schools several times during her Elementary and Secondary Educations.

She also attended St. Louis College Jos, Federal Government College, Jos and Federal Government College Ilorin respectively.
After her secondary education, she proceeded to university of calabar where she bagged a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts.
Nse Ikpe Etim is one of the few Nigerian actresses who didn’t just rush into the industry to make some money or fame; for her, it was a true passion for acting that led her into the industry.
Nse started her journey into acting right from when she was in secondary school. As a result of her eloquence and brilliance, she took part in a lot of activities like drama, sports and debates. She was also a very active member of the drama club in the University of Calabar, from where she started her acting career professionally.

She had her Television break at the age of 18 when she anchored a show on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
After graduating from the University of Calabar, Nse had a brief stint in the banking sector. Due to her love and passion for fashion, she was briefly involved in the fashion industry. She also worked in the media briefly as an On-Air-Personality for Rhythm and Cool Fm.
Nse was first noticed on our screens when she acted in the soap opera, “Family Inheritance”, but it was her excellent performance in the movies, Reloaded and Mr and Mrs that shot her to major limelight and registered her firmly as Nigeria’s sweet heart.
She has acted in plays like Anowa by Ama Ata Aidoo, Marriage Of Anansewa by Efua Sutherland, Child Internationale by Wole Soyinka, Milikin Mata by Harry Hagher to name a few. Towards the end of 2011, she wowed the audience in yet another award winning stage play ‘Same Page’.
On January 2013, Nse Ikpe Etim got engaged to Clifford Sule her childhood friend and a senior lecturer with the Middlesex University, UK. On Valentine’s Day, February 14th 2013, the cute couple tied the knots in a civil ceremony at a registry in Lagos. A traditional wedding followed intermittently at her home town in Akwa Ibom State. After the wedding, Nse relocated to the UK to be with her husband.
She has featured in movies like; Memories of My Heart, kiss and tell, Black november, Guilty pleasures, Venom of Justice, Reloaded, Bursting out, Journey to oneself, Devil in the detail, Tunnel, Fifty, Hustlers, The visit, Heaven’s Hell, Phone swap and the recent Moses Inwang’s Stalker.
She was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 5th and 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards for her role in Reloaded and Mr. and Mrs. respectively.
In 2014, she won the Best Actress in a Drama award at the 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for playing “Nse” in journey to oneself. Nse is a fan of Manchester United FC. In her spare time, she loves to read, write, cook, watch football and play scrabble.
