Actually not a single word is uttered in this second and probably final trailer for the very soon to be released mysterious Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt starring drama By the Sea.
Having arguably the most famous Hollywood couple on the big screen in the same movie again after a decade would probably be a very big deal for any studio, right? So far it feels like Universal, the same studio that expertly marketed and released super hits like Furious 7 and Jurassic World only a few months ago, is trying its hardest to sneak By the Sea into theaters. Can you believe this film is out in less than two weeks? I mean it’s bad enough that the trailer says almost nothing (figuratively and literally). I’m not asking for spoilers, but at the very least there should be more than just these two are a couple and they fight.
Angelina Jolie wrote and directed By the Sea and it’s a very personal project for her and from what I hear she is pulling all the strings on this one, including marketing. The things studios do to maintain a healthy relationship with a star really know no bounds.
By the Sea opens November 13th in the US in selected theaters.
