Marvel had a few things to show at Comic-Con too, one of them being this first official trailer for Doctor Strange. It’s pretty crazy, as you’d expect.
“Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilising a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.”
Half the time I really had no idea what was happening in this trailer, not that I’d want it any other way, especially since this is arguably the MCU’s weirdest movie yet. So yeah, I love the craziness, that what I want from a Doctor Strange movie and that’s what it seems we’re getting. All of this makes me even more excited for Infinity War and how they’re gonna tie Stephen Strange into that epic (I have an idea, which I won’t share yet).
Scott Derrickson (Sinister, Deliver Us from Evil) directed this 14th installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and also co-wrote the screenplay with C. Robert Cargill. Starring in the film are Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen and many others.
Expand your world with the help of Doctor Strange starting October 26th in France, October 28th in the UK and November 4th in the US/Rest of the World.
