Award Winning Documentary "Silent Tears" to Premiere On  International Women's Day
The producers of Fuelling poverty announces the premier of a documentary film “Silent Tears”. The award winning documentary film will premiere on International Women’s Day, 8th March 2016 in Abuja. As produced by Ishaya Bako.

Silent Tears, was funded by the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA).

The documentary film focuses on the victimization and abuse of women in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, by a unique multi-agency government task force. The documentary further examines and uncovers the truths behind these serious violations and gives a glimpse towards the society’s perception of sexual and physical abuse on women encouraged by or perpetrated by security officials across the country.

Silent Tears was screened at the 5th African International Film Festival (AFRIFF) where it won the Audience Choice Award.
